We walked downstairs into the living room where Gavin's parents were relaxing on the couch.
"Why don't the two of you change into your swim suits and you can take Callie down to the beach Gavin."
"Okay!" Gavin replied eagerly.
We ran upstairs to our rooms to change. I put on the same bikini I had worn for the party about a week ago. When I was finished I knocked on the door to Gavin's room.
"You can come in Callie." he said.
I ran in through the door and straight into his arms.
"Your going to love the beach!" he said as he carried me out the door applying a kiss to my cheek.
It wasn't long until we were standing on the soft, warm sand of the beach. We walked hand and hand together to where the water met the sand. I let the cool water run over the tops of my feet and then receed back around me.
"I'm going to take you in the fun way."
"What?" I said as I was lifted off my feet and being carried into the water by Gavin.
"You get to ride above the water in the comfort of my arms." he said. We were in water up to his knees now.
"I can walk." I said. "I'm perfectly fine back on the beach."
Gavin sadly caught the sign of worry in my voice.
"Your just scared Callie." he said. We were now waste deep in the water and if I let go of one of my arms from around Gavin's kneck, I could reach out and touch the water. "We only have a little bit further to go Callie."
When he stopped, the water was half way up his stomach. Just under where I was resting.
"I love you Callie." he said and leaned in to kiss me. It felt comforting and secure just like all of our other kisses. I loosened my grip getting caught up in the moment. It was perfect with the gentle ocean breeze and the calming sounds of the waves. When we released, I was dropped ino the fridgid cold water.
"What did you do that for?" I asked.
"I told you I was taking you in the fun way." he said emphisising the word in. "You had fun, didn't you?"
"Yeah. I guess." I said running over and tickling his stomach. "Got ya!"
"Are you sure?" he said running up and tickling my stomach. He then lifted me up out of the water and spun me in circles. I laughed the whole time he had me up there.
"Okay you got me. Lets head back to the beach and dry off."
We ran back to the beach in the water. Gavin beat me by a long shot because of his longer legs. I wrapped up in a towel and we walked together back to the house.
"Did you two have fun?" asked Gavin's mom who was painting the beach.
"Definetly!" I said.
"Thats good. Lemonades in the pitcher on the table to your left Gavin."
We eached grabbed a glass and quickly downed the contents in our cup. After thanking Susan for the drink, I went upstairs to my room to change after our afternoon at the beach.
