Love is that special feeling
That tickles our heart and soul,
That often leaves us crying,
But never short we grow.
Love can stop the hurting
The loss and gain we rage,
And love can be forgiving,
From one who knows the way.
My Mother softened hardship
Yet raised her voice to say,
The tender touch of feathers,
Let her love take pain away.
Too often in this living world
We forget that a spirit flies,
And think of love as captured,
Yet it comes and goes and dies.
A Mother’s love is graceful
It shutters not from day to day,
But leads us heart and happy,
Through a door to Heaven’s way.
To my children I am mighty
For my friends I make them sigh,
When I talk about the beauty,
A Mother’s love that never dies.
