The Flood

The skies were gray and cloudy, it wasn't a good sign for Howlclan. Rain had already began pouring down but the clan didn't expect it to turn into a flood. After hours of heavy rain, the clan began to worry. Thornstar leaped onto the Highrock,
"Howlclan, we must take new shelter until the rain has died down, we will go at once, get the kits, elders, and queens.
Warriors and apprentices scattered looking for cats that may need help. Fireheart was worried, where was his kit Wavekit? After most cats got out if camp Fireheart was still looking, we wasn't going to let the rain destroy his kit. He searched all the dens and in bushes, everywhere kits could be, but no sign of Wavekit. He let out a yowl of sadness. After that, he heard something, a little kit mew. The weight of his soaked fur was weighing him down. But he wouldn't give up. He followed the faint mews and came to a tree stump. Curled up in a little ball crying for her life was little Wavekit. Fireheart quickly picked her up in his jaws and headed out of camp. After he was away from camp, he placed Wavekit down carefully and began licking her tiny body, with drenched fur. Wavekit was to weak to protest, instead,she continued to stay lying down looking at her father with little tiny eyes. After Wavekit wasn't as wet, Fireheart picked her up yet again and followed the faint scent of the clan. He continued to run after the scent and came across Howlclan taking shelter under a tree. He ran under the tree and placed Wavekit down and called over Thornstar.
"I was worried where you were, thanks to you, our kit is safe, thank you Fireheart, what would I do without you?" and with that, Thornstar lied down with her tiny family looking at both of them with her amber eyes.
Little Wavekit was safe, they all figured that the clan will be alright. Fireheart noticed how Wavekit fell asleep right next to Fireheart, Fireheart watched Wavekit sleep, then decided that he should get some sleep too.
