They hadn't been walking long before the boy opened a hatch in the ground. Anna hadn't noticed it so this came as a shock to her.
"After you, girl" He grinned.
"My name is Anna" She snapped then jumped down into the hole. She couldn't see much but what she did see looked like a manmade pit.
"What is this place?" She asked then started to climb out.
"The last place you'll see." He grinned. "Anyone who wants to see that yellow belly white coat needs to be taught a lesson." Then he kicked Anna in the face.
She fell backwards into the pit, her face stinging, as the boy slammed the hatch shut. Anna laid there for a while, feeling dizzy over the smell of blood, before she slowly sat up.
"Note to self: don't trust anyone" She grumbled, feeling groggy.
"Good note," Someone grumbled next to her, making her jump. "But can you trust me long enough for me to get us both out of here?"
She nodded, not caring if he saw.
"Good" He said. "Do you want me to look at your face?"
"No" She snapped but he was already in front of her, holding her face tenderly.
When she finally saw his face, she couldn't stop the tears.
"I've missed you" She sobbed as he hugged her.
