Yesterday I was very stressed
Too much work and not enough rest.
The pressure was really very bad
I think it sent me slightly mad.
The turning point came at quarter to three
When I had a message put through to me.
'The local Care Home want to know
Where does the cream need to go?'
They seemed to be quite oblivious
To the blindingly obvious.
About to make a biting retort
I stopped and had a sudden thought.
Rather than make things even worse
I would reply in rhyming verse.
'I suggest that in a dash
You apply it to the rash!'
By responding to all in a little ditty
I may yet retain my sanity.
I continued thus all afternoon
And have to say that pretty soon,
Though some thought I'd had too much caffeine
The benefits were being seen.
Before long we were all writing in rhyme,
In fact we were having a lovely time!
'You find yourself in a fix?
Come for an appointment at quarter past six'
'Thats a nasty looking infection.
Let me give you a big injection'
'You need a sick note for a cold?
But swinging lead I am told'
All too soon it was just gone eight
And time for home, not too late.
So From the above description,
I hope you agree a helpful prescription!
