Sometimes It All Floods Back

When I was 5 he was life
With 3 children,
2 here,
One there,
And a wife.
Struck by lightning where he sat.
It shook the ground.

Tears began to rain.
4 left in pain,
Life strained,
All drained,
One girl's life fainted,
Almost went insane.
The other,
In god she trusted,
With psalms she thrusted,
Upon the rest,
What jest!
To think it would have lasted,
Pure fallacy,
Pure farce.

The wife and mother,
Grasping to keep glued,
The love she had,
Was shattered.

The reflection she saw before,
Split from 5 to 4,
From 4 to separate 1s.
Cried herself to sleep for 11 years.
But the gears still turned.
Still yearning.

The youngest, the boy, I,
Search for something,
With no idea of what he wants to find,
A connection perhaps,
A group to interact,
The past he knows,
Is passed and gone.
But still he doesn't know what's wrong,
What's missing.

Our paths split,
And I'm grateful for this life you gave,
I apologise,
For one thing if any,
It's been 2 years,
Since I touched your grave.

It's raining in paradise,
as I write these words,
I know nothing is wrong,
Nothing is missing.
I love living.

But some times
It all
Floods back.

Forgetting

I find myself forgetting. And pushing you to the back of my mind. In the deep dark crevices which are so hard to find. Then as i laugh or swim in the sun. I suddenly remember how we had so much fun.

Let's Run - Chapter 2

I'm really disappointed in myself as I thought I was improving. I hadn't had a nightmare about anything to do with my parents in about 4 weeks. This had nothing to do with my parent's actual death.

When I was fourteen, my younger sister died. I think the reason it fucked us all up so much was that no one knew there was anything wrong with her.

Always Here With Me

You left us today but your still here with me They said you went in your sleep, peacefully. Ninety four years of loving, laughing and crying. I wish I could have seen your smile just one more time.
