All the Memories

Whats the craziest thing you've ever done?
Were you once foolish? Were you young?
Did you cycle to town in your pyjamas at midday?
sing camp songs together till break of day?
listen to the same busted song 3000 times?
Suck a lemon or a lime?
Were you with Harry Potter from the start?
Did books ever capture your heart?
Did you fight dragons in your sleep
and press flowers you wanted to keep?
Did you chase a cow waving your red jacket,
Come home so filthy you knew that you'd had it?
Watched a musical with Grandma and sung all the songs
or refused to eat something cos it looked or smelt wrong?
Did you ever imagine your bed was a ship,
fail yet again to learn to knit,
look at cloud shapes in the sky
or decide you wanted to watch paint dry?
Have you ever got stuck up a tree?
Do you miss the child you used to be?

Songs On A Swing

When I was a small child. I always used to sing. My favourite place. Was on my swing. I would sit for hours. With the sun over high. Daydream with songs. The world floated by. I would charge 10 pence.
