Beginning Line Challenge

Oh my goodness-my very first challenge win on Opuss! EddieC, thank you very much for seeing my story as a worthy win over such great entries, I'm ever so humbled. I'm also secretly ecstatic that I may have slightly (ever so slightly) converted yourself and RichWithey to consider fantasy tales in the distant future.

Oh, before I forget, I want to extend a warm-hearted congratulations to both Glen & Rich for their entries, I loved reading them equally.

Anyhoo, without much furtherado, I'd like to set the new challenge-in-motion. Your mission, should you choose to accept, is to start your tale, poem, prose, etc. with the following sentence:

'Her heart distorted frantically in the eerie night air...'
