Whenever I sit on my own for a while,
I think of your face, your eyes and your smile,
Though alone, I'm not lonely,
Though silent, not moping,
Just silently thinking about you,
And hoping,
That the day may soon come,
When at last I will see you,
And that life will never be the same,
Without you.
I heard this short poem years and years ago, and something triggered it in my mind. It isn't magnificent by any means, but it left a mark on me.
Who knows, it may leave a mark on you, too.
