How fragile is the human heart, capable of the deepest feelings of love, hate and almost everything in between.
We have all at some point loved something or someone (or rather we will for those of us rather young). Yet love, hatred, jealousy and all our spectrum of emotions stem from our many needs.
How simple a being we are, yet how insanely complicated our emotional states can be when taken to extremes.
Turn on the TV or open a newspaper at any time and you'll be deluged with stories all charged with emotion. Watch any movie and note that all the most talented actors and actresses are the most emotionally driven, and most capable of displaying such feelings.
So then, was Mr John Lennon correct when he said that All You Need Is Love? An awful lot of people (myself included) tend to agree. Quite a paradox then that he should die at the hands of a murderer - himself overflowing with all manner of emotional complexities.
Love is my most favourite of all emotions. I love chocolate, I love vanilla, I love my best friend and I most definitely love life. I love the way new mown grass smells, and the way day turns to dusk. I don't love everything, but I love love!
And, after all, if we kept all our emotions, but had love taken away, what then would we be?
Not human, anyway.
