The New Puppy

Once again I tell you no,
Once again I tell you stay,
You seem to ignore my commands,
You drive me nuts all night and day.
You chew up all my favourite slippers,
You pee on all my favourite rugs,
You really are a naughty puppy,
I should have bought that pair of pugs.
And yet your small and innocent,
Your sweet to say the least,
Your eyes are like a pair of saucers,
Could you really be a beast?
I guess it doesn't matter,
Where you pee and what you chew,
In time you'll learn how to behave,
All that matters is I love you.
