Memory Lane

Let's take a walk
Down memory lane
Replay our lives,
Try not to be vain.

The first day of school
Aren't you cute!
Dad cleans the chimney
A room dusted with soot

Now let's jump ahead
High school years
Full of love, joy
And not without fears.

But what is missing?
Something's left out
All those many times
You had doubts

Repressed memories
You wished you kept
All those nights spent
Staring at Jonny Dept

To many things
Left unsaid
To many bills
Still unpaid

The lanes to long
Getting depressed
Its not as exciting
As you had guessed

Memory lane
An emotional stroll
That makes you realise
Your getting old!

Silver

I like silver better older. With its fine blue dust. Taking shelter in the notches. A lovely sort of rust. It looks much more refined. With its overcoat of grey. Like the swirling cirrus clouds.
