You...

The sunrays wink through the window

Bathing me with an enchanting light

Waking me up from these everlasting dreams

Of roses and rainbows, and your spellbinding delight

I have been living a life of denial

Trying to erase my sins of the past

But as the dusk casts its blood red veil

It’s you again, and the void that follows.

Contemplating, strolling along the river,

Shades of love and laughter fill me with pain

Suddenly, I realize it’s the same river,

On the bank of which I first saw you, I realize with disdain.

Why did you have to be so far?

This echoing silence, my soul is at war

With the intense beauty of the love we shared

Unconditional, yet unnerving, but then, you are so far.

But I walk with a smile on my face

I am at peace, in my infinite dreams

Because sometimes ignorance reigns truth

And hope is not in what I know, it’s in you.

I lay satiated, as the dawn breaks again

The light beams rekindling the fire within

I take a fresh breath, and a fresh start

And the fragrance of love and hope spreads out into
my soul.

I remember the promises we made,

I remember, as I kneel beside your grave

In the eyes of our son, in this musical life

I remember you,

It has always been and will be

You

And Only

You

Dark Dreams

"Hush now. You're Safe." He whispered calmly in my ear. " You're home, in bed, with me." I turned to look in the familiar dark eyes and slowly calmed my panted breath. Thank God he's here.

To You Who Is Still In My Heart

You know, I could hardly help it. You were there, and now you're not. Unspoken words and sidelong glances, Your presence gone left a missing friend. I'm not a person from the perfect songs.
