"Shh" He hushed, pulling her away from him to look at her face some more.
"I thought you were dead" Anna sobbed.
"What made you think that?" He asked, wiping the wet blood off her face with his top. He did it gently, not wanting to hurt her.
"They said" She sniffed.
He grinned, "Since when do you listen to them?"
"I don't" She whispered, feeling small.
"Think of it like this, Anna, they knew how close we were so they lied to you to protect you"
"I don't need protecting" She grumbled. "They all think I killed our family anyway."
"What? Someone killed mum, dad and Robert?" He asked, his blue eyes wide with shock.
Anna nodded. "They blamed me for it" She replied then showed him her palm.
"They aren't getting away with this" He growled, moving away from her at a crouch.
"Callum, where are you going?" Anna hissed.
"To get us out of here" He replied then kicked something.
Anna rolled her eyes, her big brother had always been the hot-headed one, but she liked to see that some things just don't change.
