It's finally Friday! And I get to go to school! I wake up as soon as my alarm goes off and get ready as fast as I can. I run down the stairs and grab a muffin out of the fridge. I grab my backpack and swallow my pill as I head out of the door. I accidentally slam the door shut, but I don't care. I walk into Abby's house as if its my own.
"Abby is up in her room Payton."
"Ok thanks."
Not that I needed to know that. I head up the stairs skipping every other step. I think my pills gave me extra energy, I feel like I could run a marathon... And win! But probably not. I get to Abby's door and walk in.
"Hey Abby."
"Oh, hi Payton."
She's focused on her hair, as usual. But I don't mind.
"So how was your personal vacation?" She says sarcastically.
"Well I wouldn't call it a vacation, unless you think puking all day is fun."
"Ew! I didn't need to know that much!"
I laugh.
"Well, you made the mistake of asking.."
After about 5 minutes we're heading our the door towards the school.
We see Tyler and Josh ahead of us.
"You wanna go catch up with them?" Abby asks.
"Only if you want to.."
I say.
She starts walking faster.
"Might as well." Abby said.
We finally catch up to them when the school is only a few blocks away.
"Hey, why didn't you guys wait for us?" Abby asks.
"Oh, sorry." Tyler says.
"So what's new?" I ask.
"In class, well there isn't much to say.. All of teachers are still sane."
"What about Mrs. Engman?"
"Oh, yeah she's still crazy. I almost forgot about her." Says Josh.
"Well that's always a good sign.."
We finally reach the school. They're still waiting outside.
"Ugh, I thought since we walked this slow we would be able to go straight inside." Says Abby.
"Yeah." I reply.
I hate having to wait outside in the morning when it's 20 degrees outside. I hope today is going to be a good day.
