Part 2
"Alice"
"Heather" we gave each other a friendly hug. "how are you?" Alice asked as we started to walk along.
"I'm ok I suppose" I said
"what have you done this time?" Alice said exasperatedly.
"nothing really just twisted my ankle during cricket yesterday" Alice rolled her eyes. She was right to do this though as I am extremely sporty but also accident prone, to things that should not be mixed. We kept conversation up until we reached the school gates and Alice's boyfriend ran up to her and lifer her off her feet, spinning her around. But someone caught my eye. Ben had just walked through the gates with a bunch of his friends. Unfortunately for me Alice saw me watching him.
"ask him out" Alice whispered in my ear.
"no, what are you talking about, I can't you know how nerves I get around boys especially Ben"
"but he doesn't have a date for the ball and it's next week and you've got nothing to loose. If he said no who cares find someone else. Go on or I will have to do it for you."she said a sly grin on her face. It was so easy for her to say, with her good looks she could have any boy. She was so lucky with her beautiful long brown hair, thin figure, charming smile and brilliant personality she attracted all of the boys in this school, as well as some of the girls for that matter. Last year she had been pulled into a broom cupboard and kissed most lovingly by one of the girls in the year above us; an event she has still not recovered from properly. Ben had never accepted a date from her though this was strange as I would have thought she was just his type but no, he had never accepted a date from anyone before so what did I have to loose if I asked him out; if he said no I would not be in a minority but if he said yes I would be the happiest person alive.
