Hunt

Crimson clouds stretching across the horizon.
Fierce is the fire of the dawning day
Kissing the mountains, banishing grey.

Arisen, angel of death, escaping night's dark prison.
Through sky the perfect hunter soars
Magnificent wingspan, the wild wind roars.

Brazen beauty searching till prey is chosen.
Speed born of hunger and desire
Swooping down gathering food for its pyre.

Frozen face watching life ebb from the denizen.
Sustenance found to sustain one more day
Return to the west, back to the grey.
