Dusk To Dayspring

Seas of back and white and grey,
Rise of Night and fall of Day.
I look around as the colours fade,
From white to a much darker shade.
Looking across the sea so bleak,
As the freezing Winds around me shriek.
But I know that dayspring won't be long,
I know that I can carry on.
So we begin another night,
And I will wait for returning light.
