In Feather's domain,
The rain was a fright,
It was drenching the streets,
Not a dry patch in sight!
Rivers down roads,
And torrents of wet,
All in the 'summer',
As bad as it gets?
Feather was sad,
For the rain was torrential,
She'd tried to have joy-
But rain's so influential.
The streets were awash,
With the heavens' down pour,
And still the sky threw down,
More, more... And more.
She'd seen more than enough,
In a life time - or five,
It was a wonder her home,
Was even alive.
For up in the North,
Where this kitten hid,
The rain was a massacre,
Without even a lid.
It yelled and it shrieked,
And Feather curled up,
Deep in her covers,
With a steaming, hot cup.
Her tail and fur quivered,
She shivered and sighed,
Outside she could hear-
That the weather still cried.
And yet there was nothing,
That Feather could do,
But hope for a change soon;
It's nothing new.

Personally, I love the rain, but this is still great! It's probably how most people feel about the weather. XD ๐
@PurdyGurl I love the sound of it. And I love standing in it. But the rain has destroyed the city I live in once during my lifetime already... Therefore I have a plausible reason to cower from it ๐๐ณ๐
@HeatherAnne Ah a very valid point! I think my village was one of the least affected places. Everyone else I know got golf ball hail with it recently. We just got a gorgeous storm.
I too love rain...but it truly is a natural force to be reckoned with in many places...a stunning write my sweet, just before my bedtime
