When Winter wind wistles and blows
Bending trees, snapping boughs, like matchsticks torn asunder
When Winter wind wistles and blows
Bending trees, snapping boughs, like matchsticks torn asunder
Whirling, swirling, thundering through
Like a steam train on a dreadful mission
Stripping leaves from branches bare
Dancing, prancing; pirouettes of joy
With it comes a stinging rain
Hard as nails, cold as iron
Soaking all caught in it's path
With icy fingers made of bone
Thank goodness I'm at home in bed
Safe and sound, warm as toast
Loved and cosseted, warmed and appreciated
Sleepy, dreamy, contented me
Windows may rattle, rain may splatter
The worst that Winter's might can throw
But I can honestly, honestly say... It sure don't bother little old me!
