After a lifetime spent together,
We're falling apart at the seams.
Even when holding hands lightly,
The touch doesn't ignite our dreams.
When did we lose the chats that we used to have?
No more making you laugh every day.
I never thought this day would ever come,
Does it always work out this way?
Has our candle been burnt?
Are there lessons we shoulda learnt?
Wishing the way things have become, they weren't,
Maybe it's our bridge that's now been burnt.
Singing our song we sang at our wedding,
Brings on the pain and tears.
Watching our video and seeing our smiles,
That disappeared in the recent years.
If I could talk to the man I was in better times,
How could I protect what we had then?
He would never believe his future would come to this,
But he would want to try again.
Every night I lie awake,
Each day I try to hide.
There's a voice from our past,

I know we still have the love somewhere,
