Dying embers
Broken hearts
Anger spoke
Tore us apart

Forgiveness failed
Bitterness grew
I wish that properly
I could love you

Time will pass
You won't recall
You won't remember
Me at all

The love we made
The bed we shared
The intimate moments
The time we cared

The laughs that came
The things we did
For just you and I
The things we hid

The life we made
The one we raised
The joy she brought you
On those cloudy days

Walk away
Start afresh
Just leave behind
This broken mess

Sunburn

I can still recall. Sitting at the table alone. A solitary chair as a poor mans throne. And just a dialling tone as I wait for your call. By default or by design. Fate decided we would meet.
