Chapter Seven
A Little Too Dangerous
"Caden you seem a little jumpy today and last night. Is everything okay?" Serena asked while holding his hand. Caden took a deep breath and smiled. "Everything is fine,I'm just glad you forgave me". Caden kissed Serena's lips. They hugged each other and decided to walk.
The next day,
"Are you cheating on me Gavin?" Tara asked. Gavin rolled his eyes. "I talk to a lot of girls but you are the one I love and the only one I'm dating". He said. Tara sighed. She didn't believe him at all. "You're lying to me Gavin". Gavin sighed. He was telling the truth. "Bye Gavin" and with that,Tara left. Gavin just stood there. Tears formed Tara's eyes.
"So he cheated on you?" Serena asked. Tara shrugged. "I think so". Serena frowned. She felt bad for Tara. "I'm pretty sure he cheated on me. He just seems different". Tara said and then soon got a text from Gavin. Tara covered her mouth and her eyes started welling up with tears. "Tara what's wrong?" Asked Serena. Tara handed Serena her phone. It read: "Tara,you don't trust me. I don't wanna be with someone who doesn't trust me. We...are done I guess. Bye". Serena's eyes began to turn red.
That night,
"Yeah I'll pick you up tomorrow. Yeah bye". Gavin hung up. He looked into the darkness and then saw Serena. His face turned into a puzzle look. Soon Serena's fangs showed. Gavin screamed.
Caden who was inside Gavin's house heard him scream. He ran outside and saw Serena and looked at Gavin. He knew exactly what Serena was going to do. Serena walked up to Gavin and before she got a hold of him,Caden yelled,"No Serena stop!" Serena turned her head to look at him. Caden ran up and pushed Gavin away. "Serena you need to stop. And now!" Caden was mad. Very mad. He looked into her eyes. Serena showed her fangs. "You can bite me but you are not who I fell in love with". Serena closed her mouth. She was shocked. Soon Caden got scared. He ran to Gavin and they took off in his car.
"You are in love with a vampire? Dude that's crazy! Really crazy!" Gavin shouted. Caden said,"Yeah I know". Gavin gave Caden a serious look. "It's a little too dangerous". Caden gulped. "I didn't know that".
The next night,
Caden walked on the streets on his way home. "Caden?" someone called out. He turned around. It was Serena. He took a step back. "What's going on Caden?" Serena asked. "That was my best friend. He never meant to hurt Tara". He said. "Why are you afraid of me Caden? I love you". "I-I do too it's just I was angry,that's all". He walked away. Serena sighed. "I love you Caden...I'll never let you go".
