The Cross
"What was that?" Serena asked while looking puzzled. Caden shook his head. "Oh nothing but...I totally agree with you". He said. Serena smiled.
The next day,
"Dude! Why haven't you told me,you had a girlfriend?" Gavin asked. Caden shrugged. "Mm thought you would get her to be yours" he said. Gavin gasped dramatically. "When have I EVER done that bro?" he asked. "You're right,I was being foolish" Caden said with a smile. Gavin patted Caden's back.
Later that day,
"Do you really have to?" Tara whined. "I don't have to but I really want to". Serena replied. Tara bit lips. "Serena this doesn't feel the same anymore". Serena looked at Tara. "I know I never had a boyfriend before and now this is my first but that doesn't mean it's different" she said. Tara sighed and replied,"Not just that but knowing you're a vampire,just changes a little". Serena frowned. "Tara...I...don't really know what to say. I thought it would be weird for a little but I guess not". "You can go Serena,I was going to cancel my date also but now it's okay" and with that,Tara left,leaving Serena crushed.
"And she just left?" Asked Caden. Serena nodded. She buried her head on Caden's shoulder. Caden sighed and rubbed her back. Serena looked up at him while tears were welling up in her eyes. "I know you're a vampire and it may have changed a little but it's all okay. For you and Tara,nothing changed. It's just that she knows now that you're a vampire". Said Caden. Serena smiled brightly. "Aww thank you Caden". She was about to kiss him but didn't trust herself so,Caden kissed her. Soon she felt pain. Physical and mental pain. Serena screamed. Caden pulled away. "Baby what's wrong?" he asked anxiously. Serena looked down and saw his keychain. It had a cross. Serena back away and screamed. Caden's eyes widen,he didn't know what to do. "Serena?" he asked but soon with a blink of an eye,she was no where to be seen.
