"Maybe it's not my weekend, but it's gonna be my year" I heard a sweet voice sing. I let out a big yawn as I tried to open my eyes at the blinding sky.
"Licia?" I said, sluggishly adjusting my head to look up. The sun was warmly shining over me. The voice suddenly stopped singing. The shape of someone's head towered over me, blocking the sunlight. Oh right, I was using her lap as a pillow for a nap.
"Oh sorry did I wake you up?" she smiled apologetically. I made a slight movement with my head and yawned again.
"No you didn't. I was just about to wake up from my dream anyways."
"What did you dream about this time?"
"About your singing."
"Again?"
I nodded and got up. I yawned again and scrubbed my eyes. My hands touched the soft grass below me as I turned to see her face. She was leaning her back against a tree with a book beside her. Her glasses was neatly put on top of her book. She always reads whenever I take a nap. She must've finished the book already if she was singing. Her straight, long hair touched the ground. I sluggishly turned my whole body to face her and leaned forward, lifting a tiny lock of her pitch black hair.
"You need a haircut," I said blatantly.
"You know just as well as I do why I won't cut my hair," she smiled gently at me.
"Yea, I forgot. Sorry," I apologized emptily. Right, the promise.
"Geez, you're so airheaded. Do you want to go back to class? There's still a few hours left."
"Nah, I'll just stay here till school's over."
"Then I'll stay too."
I turned the other way and flopped down to her lap again. She looked at me.
"I thought you were awake."
"I was, but I changed my mind. Sing for me," I requested, starting to close my eyes. As I started to drift of, I felt her touch my hair and stroke it gently. I opened my eyes.
"Dylan's here," she said softly. I looked to my side. That's Dylan alright.
"Wow, already all lovey dovey during school? Couldn't you guys wait until after school?" he joked, sitting down on the spot in front of Lisha right beside my head, putting down his drum sticks beside him.
"Move back," I glared.
"Easy there, Cody," he said, obediently moving back, "It's not like I'm that close. Do you guys always skip like this? You literally skipped the whole day. You were always like this since you guys transferred. And with that unecessary PDA too."
"It's not PDA. It's how we've always been. Licia and I are just childhood friends. And we don't need to go to school. We're already good enough for university remember?"
"Even if you say that you're both just childhood friends, a lot of people misunderstand. You were so popular with the girls. You still are. If it wasn't for Alicia they would be all over you already. They all think that you guys are in a relationship."
I sighed, "let them think whatever they want. It's not like I need girls to fawn over me."
"Damn, easy for you to say. The boys are envious of you, you know?"
"So?"
"Cody, don't be so rude. Dylan's just trying to tell you something," I heard Lisha interupt me. I looked at her for a while.
"Okay," I said obediently.
"Wow, you really do only listen to her."
"Shut up," I snapped, then sighed.
"Anyways, did you bring my guitar for me?" I asked, peering over him.
"Nah, Cherry's bringing it here. Do you guys like to sleep outdoors or something? It's so grassy here," he said. I looked at him.
"Yea, I like it here and it's peaceful, so Lisha could read. Do you always let girls bring the heavy things? That's very gentlemanly of you," I said sarcastically. He shrugged, "Then maybe you should bring your own stuff next time. Lily's probably gonna carry it for her. And Lily's stronger than most boys I know. So what are you gonna do now?"
"The usual."
That's it guys, the first part of La La Love! Do you think I should continue? If you do, I'll add more characters and descriptions! If you think I should stop writing, I'll probably stop cuz there's no point in writing if no one's gonna read my stories :P
If you guys have suggestions about anything like songs I should include and all that, tell me in the comments.
Special thanks to #seasonfury for two of the names and #isa_bela for
convincing me to write the story.
And how should I mark it if someone's singing? so weird...
