A world without humanity,
Is one already lost,
Everyone going for best,
No matter what the cost.
You would see the poor,
Your would see their pain,
You would see their lives,
Flowing down the drain.
You would go home,
The new tv switched on,
You'd watch the poor on the news,
Maybe even laugh at their blues.
YouTube then opened,
On your laptop,
Watching the 'best new video',
And others non-stop.
You would look at your phone,
'wuu2?' you text to friends,
Then you would text, text away,
Knowing no ends.
You would see government choices,
Affect the poor, the meek,
And you'd simply say,
'Well I've had a hard week!'
You would watch others struggle,
Leave them when they fail,
Join the successful ones,
Then when they fall, bail.
You'd fight with your neighbour,
See fights between husband and wife,
You'd see people fight with themselves,
Because they got beat by life.
You would see that someone's killed them self,
'Oh, we'll that's a shame,'
But that's a life cut down in its prime,
Because of the suffered pain.
The poor would be getting poorer,
As the rich feed off of them,
They ask you for a little change,
But why would a hand you lend?
Society would be corrupt,
Friends turn on each other,
Husbands fight with wives,
Sons fight with mothers.
You make a big mistake,
There is a dead end at your journey long,
You thought your friends would help you,
Oh boy, you were wrong.
You would be under the stars,
Sleeping at a door,
The world eats itself,
As its scuffles become a war.
This is our society,
Or at least what will be,
If we don't change our world,
We will lose our humanity.
