100 Things A Numpty Likes (All In One Go)

1) Reading - to the point where, when I was little, my granny used to tell me off for spending pocket money on books rather than dresses or toys or whatnot.

2) Saying words repeatedly until they don't sound like words and you get a bit confuddled.

3) Dancing in my room - note to self: ALWAYS close the curtains beforehand or Creepy Greenhouse Guy who lives behind you will watch. And I doubt that was a cucumber he was holding... shudder

4) Lady Grey Tea - it's lovely jubbly, especially black with a slice of lemon.

5) Music - I love any kind and couldn't live without it.

6)Writing - kind of obvious and goes hand-in-hand with no. 1

7) Correcting people on their grammar - it really gets on my goat when they say things incorrectly!

8) Talking like a farmer - as all my friends are city folk the expressions on their faces when I say 'How's she cuttin' boi?' Are priceless!

9) Out colloquialisms - such as the almighty SCUNDERED!

10) Potato bread

11) Playing Piano

12) Playing Gurglies (a Delilah patented game)

13) Playing Pillow Wrestling

14) Rugby - when playing I destroy my sister, when watching... Well Craig Gilroy doesn't look half bad in those tiny wee shorts ;)

15) Baking

16) Staring other drivers down on the motorway

17) Learning and applying useless bits of knowledge (like the first bomb the Allies dropped on Germany in WW2 killed the only elephant in the Berlin Zoo)

18) Yoga

19) Sleeping

20) Doing nothing - a very refreshing activity

21) Knitting - yes I'm 17 going on 80 but it's nice to give your friends something unique and special for Christmas

25) Eating - need I say more

26) Babysitting my wee cousin

27) A good old Ulster Fry

28) Spending hours in Waterstones

29) Our meaningless chats in politics class - we talk about everything, from horse meat to weirdos taking dead bodies on roadtrips across America

30) My dogs

31) My friends

32) My family - (they should have been no. 1 shouldn't they?)

33) Feel-good films

34) Cycling through the countryside

35) Mucking about in the rain - unless I have to be dry for something or other

36) Tayto cheese and onion - the king of all crisps (or chips for our American friends) but avoid civilisation for about a week after consumption.

37) Beaches - except for the ones with all the shingle that really hurts your feet

38) Singing - although I'm not sure the shower head would define the noise as 'singing'

39) When the volume on the radio or TV is even or a multiple of five

40) Summertime in general - although it doesn't visit Northern Ireland very often

41) Graham's ice cream - to die for!

56) Camping

57) My wellies

58) My sweats

59) Open fires - beautiful and warm

60) Swimming - the floating, peaceful kind

61) Dormice - so cute!

62) Rocket team - nerdy, I know, but great craic

63) Playing in the snow

64) School - I do genuinely enjoy it, all of it. Except the headmistress, she's not the best person in the world but hey ho, no-one's perfect.

65) Autumn leaves - great fun

66) Snowdrops - a sure sign spring has sprung

67) Lambing season - those little guys are just everywhere and so adorable

68) The Vintage Rally - basically a parade of vintage cars, tractors, motorcycles etc. through our village each summer. The neighbours always have a barbecue so everyone can get together.

69) Christmas - I love all of it, unless it starts in November, that really drives me up the walls

70) French - a beautiful language

71) English - equally as fantastical

72) Cookie Box milkshakes - very scrummy

73) Clear nights - you can look up at the stars and be both lost in the universe and found within yourself. The galaxy is stunning

82) Peace - just being at peace

83) Perfection - at least in my own mind as no such thing exists

85) The feel of a book in my hands - I could never stand a Kindle or the like

86) Free stuff - as long as it's good

87) LP bowls - fun to make and useful. Dad wasn't so pleased though...

88) Russian dolls

89) Tree climbing

90) Pretty flowers

91) Dungarees - would love a pair but not too sure how odd I'd look

92) Rain coats - like the plastic yellow Paddington Bear kind I had when I was a kid

93) The smell of fresh laundry

94) Smores

95) Sliding down banisters

96) Talking into the wee hours at sleepovers

97) Country air - it's much more clear and fresh than city air

98) Coming home - nothing beats getting in the front door after a long day or some travels. Although when you land in Belfast it will ALWAYS rain.

99) Bacon butties with a Nutty Crust pan loaf

100) Northern Ireland - it's home, it's green and it's probably the only place on Earth who celebrates a ship that was no good and a footballer who died because of a bad liver.

And there you have it, my long list of... Well weirdness.
