Crooked Chest Of Drawers

Laying in bed when prayers have been said,
the clock is ticking inside your head.

As the lights go out
you hear a shout
but you're certain that no one is about.

You hear a creak upon the floor near the crooked chest of drawers..
and you swore you saw a gaping maw,
beside those crooked chest of drawers.

Reaching for the torch
to venture forth,
to see what you saw beside the crooked chest of drawers -

But the monster IS the chest of drawers...
it defies physics
and all it's laws...
as it takes you into its wooden jaws..
......

Cursed

Don't look at me. For beneath this skin I'm cursed. Oh yes I appear pure. The role I've well rehearsed. I leave a silent trail. Of destruction and misery. I'm a mass of devastation.
