Obscured in the shadow of an old pine tree,
Light splits the needles, through a window I see.
He walks through the kitchen making his usual rounds,
The chatter, despicable laughter, is all that sounds.
With wine in tow he settles down to dinner,
His trophy wife he joins, she as much a sinner.
My conscious screams torment, knowing the extend I have gone,
Hiding behind this old pine, on his backyard lawn.
What have I done, is it moral decay?
Someone had to do it, to myself I did say.
His life is a farce, full of selfishness and greed,
From the poor and unfortunate, he stole from their need.
Took advantage when given the opportunity,
Yet wore the visage of greatness in this community.
You despicable, worthless sloth of a man,
You swindler, wordslinger, life a total sham.
The ones you have hurt will never see recompense,
He who wins in law is who pays the most expense.
Thus, on myself, I have taken this chore,
Of removing you, of this earth, forevermore.
Without a trace, my fingers did guide,
The perfect crime, in it I did abide.
Between gloved fingers, sweet granules almondine,
The salts of death, our next player in this scene.
Dissolved into water and drawn into syringe,
With thoughts of your actions, yes I do certainly cringe.
The finest of needles, only medical grade will do,
Injected my concoction, through the cork of his vermouth.
Ah yes, dinner over, a kiss and warm embrace,
Time for dessert, and some liquor to chase.
He swirls the glass, its bouquet he does detect,
A slight hint of almond, yet nothing he suspects.
As the glass hits his lips, my sigh of relief,
Knowing so many people will be spared of his grief.
I watch as they melt, slump and reel,
Sweet dance of death, their lives I did steal.
Forgive me father, for I most certainly have sinned,
Yet I know it was righteous, and at that I did grin.
His vortex of greed, detritus and pain,
Will no longer hurt the less fortunate again.
