Caution About Caution

If you've never lived, you cannot die.
No hello then there's no need for goodbye.
If you hold nothing tight, it's no task to let go,
And if you have none, then your feelings will never show.

If you make no friends then they cannot betray you,
If you don't get paid they can't forget to pay you.
If you have no belongings, then none can e'er be stolen.
And if you don't fix the broken things, ne'er again can they be broken.

If you live your life with caution, then you'll have no lows of yet,
But you won't have the highs either, so later you'll regret.
