Is forgiveness given or taken. Will past hurts sleep or awaken. Can you relent, so others find solace. Can you offer it fully or an empty promise.
Imagining a world. Where love and lust don't exist. No more heartbroken souls. Taking blades to their wrists. No more adulterous husbands. Or moonlighting wives. No more crimes of a passion.
Joyous yet painful. Respectful, disdainful. Fabulous, dirty. Flighty and flirty. Usually forceful. Thoughtful, remorseful. Leaves you walking on air. Or it can cause despair. Blows hot and cold.
When does love begin. Is it convenient chemistry Blooming in ready flesh. Nanoseconds of conquered yearning. Triumphant emotion crowned with sexuality's thorn.
Love is everywhere, You just need to look. Sometimes it's cruel, Or an open book. Love is available, For those in need. But it takes time, It must feed. Love is desirable, But only to some.
It quickens and it slows, In opposite directions, It teases and it taunts, And it plays with my affections.
You're a burning candle,. A silver lining. A darkness brighter than the sun. You're a mindless desire,. An obscure need. A nightmare sweeter than the sweetest dream. You're a soft touch wrecking ball.
What is love. If not accompanied by care. What is love. If your affection is rare. What is love. If we no longer kiss. What is love. If it's not you that I miss. What is love.
