For my first post, given the time of year, I wish to share my thoughts and hopes for 2013.
With my dreams of joining the RAF pretty much out of the window, it leaves me still in the job I don't want to be in forever and with a new dream to think up and be just as passionate about.
Despite this set back, I do know I want to do something academically, at home working around my job. My plan is to do a home study course and get a diploma in a new subject, so I can move on and be something else somewhere new.
Also to learn at least two new languages fluently.
Of course, I am back to my usual single status after a fairly short but memorable dating period with a lovely man, with whom I remain friends, hopefully. The experience, however short and uneventful, has given me a different (improved) out look on certain things and he managed to make me feel renewed and worthy of finding the right guy for me. It all ended extraordinarily well and we both left on very good terms, so despite it not having worked out with a wonderful man, I do not regret and and feel grateful for having the experience and being a part of his life, however brief.
2013 brings new things though. I have accepted a new mission, a new responsibility. It will be a challenge, my biggest yet, but with the assistance of chocolate, music and head strong determination not to fail, I feel I can do it.
Famous last words, I fear.
Time will tell though and I hope with all my heart the coming year will be the successful one I want it to be for myself and the people I love.
