Future 17 Chapter 4

I must have been asleep for hours and hours as when I woke up my mum was no where to be seen. Then saw a note on my door saying 'some friends invited me down to the pub I'll be back quite late. Dinners in the fridge, don't wait up!'
I scrunched up the piece of paper and threw it in the bin. I then suddenly heard a tapping noise. Then again. I walked slowly over to my window and saw Joey standing outside, in my front garden! He pointed towards my front door. I nodded and ran down stairs. There he was. Standing there in a dark red hoodie, looking as cute as ever!
"Hello." he said, smiling
"Hello." I said, smiling and then giving him a hug, which luckily he hugged back too. I let him in and we both went up to my bedroom, which was looking as messy as ever!
"Why weren't you at school…?" I asked, not trying to sound to harsh
"Family stuff." he said rather quickly.

"Oh, have you eaten? my mum left some dinner in the fridge…" I asked fiddling with my hair.

"No I haven't eaten, that would be nice thanks." Joey replied. We walked down to the kitchen, hand in hand and found out that the spaghetti my mum had left was out of date.
"Typical." I said, closing the door of the fridge,

"Hmm how about something from scratch?" he said looking at me straight in the eye

"You know how to cook?" I asked

"Yes and you don't?"

"If you call putting a ready meal in the oven for half an hour cooking? Then yeah I can cook."
Joey laughed, but I was serious.

Joey turned out to be a really good cook. He let me help, but I think after dropping nearly all the vegetables, he realized why I only cooked ready meals and not stuff from scratch.
After a delicious dinner, we sat in front of the telly, but then Joey said "I better get going now…"
I followed him to the front door and just as he was turning round to say good bye I leaped up and wrapped my arms around his neck and have him a hug! His hoodie was warm and cozy. It was soft on my skin. I suddenly realized what I was doing, but I then felt his arms wrap around my waist. As we both let go of each other, he kissed me on the cheek and then walked out the door. I stood gazing at him until he was out of sight. I closed the door lightly and walked up to my room
