I Love You, Dad.

I love you,
Please don't leave me.
A father, Dad, my world.
Sheltering,
Protecting,
From all so meanly hurled.

You've been that heartfelt shoulder,
I'll cry on,
Weep on,
Cling.
No one quite can understand,
The cherished feel you bring.

My life is young,
Not ready;
I'll need you every day.
To shower me with love always,
To chase the bad away.

I remember as a young child,
The stories you would tell.
You put on voices,
Made up words,
You told them all so well.

I remember when I left school,
I cried,
You held me close,
And still I now require it,
That paternal, daily dose.

I love you, Dad.

Is It Too Late

Dedicated to my dad not that I have the courage to say all of this to him. Maybe it is too late.

Mother.

We fight, we hate, we snap, you're late, We scream, we yell, we burst, we swell. We spit, we huff, we hurt, we bluff, But the anger we have is never enough.

Little one

Don't grow little one. Stay at your infant age. Babbling and smiling. Untainted and pure. Don't grow little one. The world is a scary place. Full of sadness and danger.

Dad

He held my hand. The day I was born. His eyes were flooded. His heart was torn. Through many years. He made me laugh. He washed my back. When I was in the bath. He took me to. My nursery.

Fathers Day Poem

We are distant Yet close. And although you are one of the few I choose to love the most. You don’t know every detail of my life. And I love that about you. You see me as I wish I could see myself.

Dad

He's like a friend that's always behind your back. Even outside when it's cold and pitch-black. He gives you advice even when you don't need it. But believe you me one day you'll admit it.

Mother

Since I was younger. I've seen my mother cry. And ever since then I never understood why. Life is just so hard. I can see this in her eyes. When the tears burn as she cries.
