The Death Of Little Red.

"I took a breath.
I pursed my lips.
Tilted my head.
Hands on my hips.

"Did she say:
'Stay on the path,
Or face the evil
Wolfy's wrath'?

"I can't remember,
But who cares?
Just one step...
There won't be bears...

"There won't be tigers,
Lions, beasts,
And of my bones,
They won't make feasts-"

The hooded girl stepped off the road,
In seconds she'd removed her load,
A second's notice: all she had,
Until the wolf came; big and bad.

It ate her whole and licked his chops,
Catching any ling'ring drops,
Then satisfied, he left that place,
Off to find some more to chase.
