You tumbled through my dreams
Like Alice down the rabbit hole,
Pulling all my sense out at the seams,
Filling my mind with your scent, your eyes,
Memory mixed with false reality:
It was your birthday, out for a drink,
When you whispered, alcohol on your breath,
"We need to get you into something more comfortable, I think,"
Before pulling me in for a kiss.
And oh the way your tongue traced my lips!
And oh the pleasure of being pressed against your hip!
You took me home, to bed, for hours,
Devoured me with passion and intent,
As always, at the mercy of your power
To make me feel so alive, so beautiful,
And you held me, arms and legs a tangle,
When I woke I could almost feel
The warmth of your body pressed against me,
But alas; it was not real.
Dreaming of you is so bittersweet;
Every time I wake its like saying goodbye again,
But I still long for us to meet,
In the dark, lonely nights when I'm asleep.
