I keep looking for
The silver lining
But the sun
Insists on shining,
Don't know how
The rain cloud of
Losing you
Could ever have
Anything at
End of the rainbow,
Except a lead-lined
Pot of gold,
A heart-shaped
Coffin to hold
My memories,
And used-to-be's.
Your kiss just like
A razor blade,
Leaves scars of the
Mistakes we made,
I'll paint a smile on
My empty face,
What I had is gone
Without a trace,
Now it's just
A jaded memory
Of our love and
How we used to be.
I can still taste you
On my lips,
Muscle memory
Of your shape
Like pins and
Needles on
My fingertips,
How can I
Move on when
My body refuses
To let my forget
My ache, my need
My greed for loving you.
They say if I
Look at the sun
While it's shining
I might see
That silver lining,
But it just burns
And leaves a blur
Behind my eyes;
Its no surprise,
How could there
Ever be
A bright side to losing
What's most important
To me?
