Your smile goes off
Like a gunshot
In a crowded room,
Silencing all
The critics with their shit,
Shouting down those
Who verbally undress,
Oppress,
Society and normality
Are meaningless,
Starting my heart
Like a defibrillator,
Curing my
Life-arrhythmia,
Those green eyes
Like car crashes
Hide behind
Long lashes,
Whilst begging
Everyone to stare,
Rubberneck at
The mess they make,
Look deeper for
The conformity
That isn't there,
Walk like you
Own everything
And nothing
And don't care,
Head high,
You're above them,
Better and you don't
Even know it,
Smarter, brighter;
If they're all stars
Then you're the sun,
The ten percent extra,
The cash back and,
The jackpot in one,
And you've spent it all,
Gone double or bust
On breaking me out
Of my mint packaging,
Destroying the mould
I was in,
Making me fall
Into an inescapable
Hole of being
Completely in love
With you
And all you do.
Your smile goes off
Like a gunshot:
And I'm the target.
