Yes. Starving children and those suffering due to AIDS can wait. They'll appreciate it more that way...

@blindsilence that is why Christ has Christians like me over in other countries that are willing to take trips to over to where those kids are and there are soo many families that take there extra money and sponsor those people and families so that they can get proper treatment and get nourishment.

@blindsilence no I haven't. I'm not trying to be rude but i know it's hard to understand. God does everything for a reason. He has a purpose for everything. Even those little kids. There are people out there that God puts it in their hearts to help those children.

I can't imagine how it feels for someone with AIDS to be told have faith is god, cos he'll cure you. Or maybe the prayer is to prolong your life?

@chickgamer sad thing is that many godly ppl I've spoken to on Opuss think god creates suffering for a reason.. And it's reason enough to have a child suffer in order to bring out the 'good' in someone else

@Burrfoot the good in what though? Children are innocents who are made to suffer because god wants to what, test their resolve to survive? Or to test his followers in their determination to spread the good word to Africa? I say bullshit. If god wants to test someone, test those who have everything, not the ones who have been born into suffering, starvation and disease

If the best outcome decided by God is to send someone to them who will sing hymns at them and maybe do a mass, then this god is rather poor at being omnipotent. Sure, the suffer might appreciate the company and assistance but when the person sent to assist inevitably goes home, they will still be hungry and they will (100% guaranteed) still have AIDs If everything is determined by God and as such everything therefor must happen for a reason, what possible reason is there for anyone, man, woman or child to be plagued with famine and disease?. Simply put, there is no reason. Even us mere mortals who are not omnipotent and omnipresent know that. That is why we try to help. It doesn't even take a Christian. Hindu's, Buddhists and Muslims all try to help. See, helping is not exclusive to Christians. Even us atheists try to help too so as you can see helping is not exclusive to the religious types too. The only one that is not doing anything is God. God does not work in mysterious ways. God does not work at all.
