A Month Of Memories #2

This one is less of a memory, and more of a song that we used to listen to. When I listen back to it now though, I can't help but pick up on its relevance now he's dead. I'm sure he didn't, but it's almost like he knew what was going to happen and he wanted to tell me this before he left:

As he was a year older than me, he learnt to drive during our relationship, and so he used to drive me to these remote little places on the side of hills or deserted parking lots and the like just so we could sit together and reflect on our busy lives from this vantage point.
9 times out of ten he used to allow me to rest my head on his shoulder, and he'd play some kind of 'soundtrack' for our moment of solace, and I'm sure I'll post the lyrics to those in due course.
One of those songs was 'Every Breath You Take' (Originally by The Police; covered by Scala), and if I remember rightly, there was no real drama involved in this meeting, and this was at a stage when Nate hadn't found out about the cancer, so it wasn't a particularly poigniant moment, but this song has become a rock for me to cling onto now he's gone, and when he told me the first time that he had very few months left, it was a rock then.
I'm just going to post the lyrics below, so you can see why I believe this song may have been played to me for a reason. You'll probably already know them, as this was a pretty popular song, but please listen to the Scala version - its absolutely incredible and so so emotional.

Every breath you take
And every move you make
Every bond you break, every step you take
I'll be watching you

Every single day
And every word you say
Every game you play, every night you stay
I'll be watching you

Oh can't you see
You belong to me
How my poor heart aches
With every step you take

Every move you make
And every vow you break
Every smile you fake, every claim you stake
I'll be watching you

Since you've gone I been lost without a trace
I dream at night I can only see your face
I look around but it's you I can't replace
I feel so cold and I long for your embrace
I keep crying baby, baby, please

Oh can't you see
You belong to me
How my poor heart aches
With every step you take

Every move you make
And every vow you break
Every smile you fake, every claim you stake
I'll be watching you

Every move you make, every step you take
I'll be watching you

I'll be watching you
(Every breath you take, every move you make)
(Every bond you break, every step you take)
I'll be watching you
(Every single day, every word you say)
(Every game you play, every night you stay)

I'll be watching you
(Every move you make, every vow you break)
(Every smile you fake, every claim you stake)
I'll be watching you
(Every single day, every word you say)
(Every game you play, every night you stay)

I'll be watching you
(Every breath you take, every move you make)
(Every bond you break, every step you take)
I'll be watching you
(Every single day, every word you say)
(Every game you play, every night you stay)

I'll be watching you
(Every move you make, every vow you break)
(Every smile you fake, every claim you stake)
I'll be watching you

When

Under the moonlit starry night sky. She shivers and shakes with a tear in her eye. The bridge that she stood on, many times through the years. She's one step away from, but that step she can't bear.

J's Song.

One day the saints came calling. They came and they took you home. And though we both we're falling. One of us would stand alone. I wonder if you see me, and all of my foolish ways.
