Silence Being Golden

In the still of night
And the quiet of Day
I long not for endurance
But choose to fade away
For now I conform
To the silent whispers
And their thoughts
Can't hang on any longer
I long for the departure I aught.

But what once seemed golden
Has dulled to brass
Glitter on going
But fades away
As I have dimmed
From the light I was.

My life
In my golden teens
Slips by speedily
Like a shooting star
Never knowing
Where I started
Nor getting anywhere.

I'll put my stamp on earth
And I'll pay my dues
Like an autumn leaf
I sway violently in the storm
Floating freely, nothing
No morals to hold me
No guilt
No remorse
Just success.

To escape to silence
Will hold a golden charm
And like a golden leaf
I become detached
To silence
To beauty

Alone.

Latrodectus

@Latrodectus

Hi, I'm Latrodectus, but you can call me Lat. I'm 14 and I love to write. I write at least 1 or 2 times a week and write everything from acrostics to opinion posts (and everything in-between) I'm also writing my first ever book/full story "The Darkworld Chronicles." I write to help find myself and who I really am and to help me deal with life's problems and stresses. I like drawing, acting, singing and gymnastics but don't like algebra, sport or swimming. My interests vary wildly (as do my works) and I feel it gives me some variety. Thanks for reading this, have fun in my world of writing :) ~Lat

Must

Must we haste And waste the day. Must we worry About what others think. Must we overthink Every little detail. Must we pretend And lie till the end. Must we fight And blur our sight.

Broken

Words spill out from me. A vocabulary lost, devoid of all meaning, The endless monologue will never explain; Revelations into the soul are pointless.

Trapped In A Choice

This isn't what I asked for, Did I really put my name down for this. To live this endless war, To never feel the kindness of bliss.

The Fallen

You don't wanna know what I've been through. You don't wanna know what this heart has taken. I'm a lone wolf in a world of sheep. I'm a stranger wallowing in the deep. A mind of endless questioning.

What Do You See?

The bitter lies prevent our eyes from reading between the sordid lines. Failing at sight. Falling each time. Our eyes cry tears that painfully tear from the sides. I'm the chosen subject.

UNtitled

I whisper gently into an eternal dream. Come to me. Chasing shadows in a dark room. Illusive voices calling me. Come to me. I lay my plans on a floor of glass. Transparent yet it only reflects myself.

Turmoil Of The Mind

The music blares, to drown out the thought, That all of my struggles, they were for nought. I can't believe that I fell for the trick they call life. All it has brought me is countless strife.
