Love The Dead

Everybody dies.
No denying that we
All come to an end,
Say your goodbyes.

Sometimes no chance
To say that, sometimes
Death just creeps its advance.

Do you stop loving a lost one,
Just because their dead?
I doubt that once gone that
Emotions stop and it's all done.

Hard concept to believe.
To love the dead, feelings
Don't stop because you grieve.

I suppose if you say the phrase,
I love the dead, people would
Misunderstand a persons ways.

Death doesn't stop emotion,
It can't really be the end?
Not when I think of the loved
Ones left with devotion.

Left with memories and love
And feelings kept, to feel that
A loved ones at peace up above?

I love the dead.
I've known many passed,
And I know there will be more
Deaths ahead.

I love the dead.
I wonder if others are the same?
Is it something others have
Felt and said?

Everybody dies.
No denying that we
All come to an end,
No ifs or whys.

I love the dead.
I wonders if that's an opinion
Felt widespread.

Last Words

The words have been leaked from the pen. Holy words that no one wanted to say back than. But someone had to come out and put it right. Someone decided to say with their last night.

To You Who Is Still In My Heart

You know, I could hardly help it. You were there, and now you're not. Unspoken words and sidelong glances, Your presence gone left a missing friend. I'm not a person from the perfect songs.

Pictures Of What She Left Behind

The road of heavy hearts. The house of broken dreams. The children as they cry. Behold her as she screams. Some faces just look empty. Some are filled with pain. They don't know what to do.

Wait For Me My Love

On the Window I draw my heart, the place where you belong, I watch as it cries, it weeps for you and sings a mournful song. Tis many years since you sang for me and my smile shone in your eyes.

RIP Grandad

Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there; I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sun on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain.

I'm loving your work...really thought provoking stuff and this is no different...I feel my gramp, my cat, and a friends presence...when I went to my friends funeral as his family went by there was a gentle breeze and it went on my face and I actually smelt my friend who had passed, I literally gasped out loud, everyone looked at me and I told my friend outside what had happened...I still have his mobile number on my phone..don't want to delete it yet....thanks for sharing such a fab poem...I look forward to your posts☺☺☺☺
