It was a warm day out. The sun shone beautifully, and there were no clouds in the sky.
I was lying down on the ground, the blades of grass gently tickling my skin. I had my eyes closed, but I could still feel the world around me. A butterfly landed on my shoulder. I smiled at the sensation.
It was happening again. That little tingle behind my eyes. It was trying to escape. All of the defenses I had put up were for nothing. It was breaking free. I wanted so badly to just give in to it, but I knew I couldn't. I fought back with all my strength. It wasn't enough.
The butterfly flew away.
It opened its eyes and smiled.
