We use to laugh,
We use to play,
We were best friends in every way,
Me, I was six and you were five,
We both felt bright,
Were both alive,
We painted walls,
With pots of glue,
And even spilled,
Your mum's perfume,
We cleaned our blood,
With leaves and mud,
And talked for days,
As best friends should,
But, then one day,
You went away,
With not a story left to say,
When you returned,
We didn't speak,
No reason,
Didn't want to meet,
Now, it's been time,
And time well spent,
Without you here,
I guess we went,
I guess we went our separate ways,
For years and months and weeks and days,
And, then, I saw,
How time changed you,
No longer five,
But much, much older,
Saw you by the Bakery,
I didn't give a wave,
I spent a glance, but held my stance,
For this is what time gave.

@naaviie haha, time changes people a lot, they're not a nice person anymore, too much has changed in them.... 😔 have a cookie of randomness 🍘
