The Origin Of Evil (part 1)

I bowed my head towards my piping hot coffee and trough the blanket of steam that rose from the mug I could see my own reflection staring back at me. I stared at myself for a minute and then gently blew into the coffee and watched my face disappear beneath the ripples.

'excuse me,' I called to the man working the till of the cafe. 'can I get a beer.'
He nodded but looked at me strangely, probably wondering why I hadn't touched me coffee.

Seconds later a beer was put onto the counter in front of me.
'rough day, huh?' the man asked.
'you could say that.'

I picked up the beer and downed almost half of the bottle before letting out a great belch.
The man behind the counter laughed and then when back to tend to the rest of the empty cafe.

I was just finishing the last few drops of my beer when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I strained my eyes to see the hand that gripped my shoulder and shuddered slightly as I saw long, yellow finger nails piercing my skin through my jumper.
'Get up and follow me outside. Don't alert anyone.'

Struggling slightly under the intense grip of the hand I rose from my chair.
I was about to turn around to see the thing that was holding onto me when I felt something hard touch my back.
'Do you feel that? That is my gun. make any sudden moves and I will kill you.'

Again I tried to turn around but was stopped by another chilling sentence.
'don't look at me or I will shoot you in the spine.'

Who the hell was this guy, and what did he want with me?

I love dark horror stories with unusual twists. Don't be expecting many cheerful stories from me. :)
