Grateful...

For all the times you laugh,
Such fun and games in the bath.

For the arguments and strife,
It's just a part of growing up in life.

For being so headstrong.
It drives me crazy, but in good stead it should hold you, before long.

For every Hug and Kiss -
There's nothing ever quite like this!

You take my breath away,
To think we made you! (it's Astounding, by the way).

For every time you awake.
Another day, my soul to take.

You hold it in your hands,
Keep it safe while you're in distant lands...

Where you go off to play -
Which character will you be today?

For all the times we've cried,
For any time you may have lied?

For all the anger and the fights,
For without you, this life could never be so right.

For all the times you smile.
It makes my life complete, worthwhile.

For every breath you take,
I cry tears of joy that form a lake.

For all that we've been through -
And for many more years we'll get to spend with you.

I hope it's true,
I do so absolutely love you.
