When I posted my first Opuss, I was afraid of getting negative feedback or being spammed by anonymous people thinking it would be fun to make someone feel like crap. I'm glad that I haven't come up against this because it would break my spirit big time. I'm sure my posts could do with constructive criticism but as I've experienced through my own use and others' posts, it's not all about putting our best efforts in. Some posts take a lot of thought with a clear and strong message, while others are light-hearted two minute jobs. It doesn't really matter, we're not here to criticise others. We're here to write, get to know people, enjoy opusses, support the ones we like and skip over the ones we don't, for whatever reason.
I'm really disappointed to hear that Burrfoot has been having a hard time recently. To anyone who has something nasty to say, please think about the consequences of your words. There are real people behind usernames. A piece of our inner selves are attached to a lot of posts. Things we wouldn't share with our best friends. It's important to remember that before we dampen someone's spirit for a cheap laugh or to feel better about ourselves by bringing someone else down.
I really hope Burrfoot will post again soon and I hope no one else feels like they are being bullied in any sense here. Also, I encourage anyone who would like to post but hasn't built up the courage yet to set your creativity free.
I love Opuss and I hope it will remain a respectful place where we can all feel comfortable posting little pieces of our most cherished secrets.
This isn't directed at anyone in particular as I don't know the full story. It's just a general message, written with love, asking for respect for all :)
