Sitting here, in my padded cell
Walls as grey as an elephant's skin
I ponder on my loneliness
And weep at all the mess I'm in
They put me in a strait-jacket
Tied me up and stripped me bare
Probed my mind with angry words
Flailed my dreams without a care
They locked me up, for years and more
Cut off from the outside world
A thread of wool unravelling
Formerly knitted and purled
And so I sit and weep and sleep
Night and day meld into one
Alone in my grey padded cell
Jailed for evil not yet done.
