She cries because she's ugly,
she cries because she's alone.
She cries because her parents won't listen,
she cries when he won't answer his phone.
He cries because he's bullied,
he cries because he's fat.
He cries because he hasn't got any friends,
he cries because of that.
I cry because I'm scared,
I cry because I'm afraid.
I cry because sometimes it's all I can do,
I cry over the messes I've made.
You cry because you're tired,
you cry because it's not fair.
You cry because it just feels right,
your crying isn't that rare.
We cry because we're angry,
we cry because we're sad.
We cry because we don't understand,
we cry when we do something bad.
Our crying isn't shameful,
and not embarrassing.
Our crying is what heals our heart,
but then what breaks it again.
