"Everything went black..."
I slowly opened my eyes, and painfully tilted my head to look around. Wood everywhere. I was lying on a pile of straw, Lubber at my side. I was so relieved that he was fine. He had been with me for years. After all my problems in life, he was always there for me, to keep me happy. I stood up and stretched my limbs. I was on a beach, on the shore of an island. I had no idea where this island was. I was stranded. Lost in the water I love, yet I couldn’t use it to escape. The place that helped me escape from everything is holding me captive.
I turned my head around and looked behind me. I could see that the beach led into a large jungle. I could feel the humidity even from the beach I was on. I managed to escape from the wreckage of wood and I collapsed onto the sand. The warmth of the sand was a relief after the cold, windy storm that I was in previously.
I decided that, as long as I was stuck here, I would have to ensure my own survival. I would have to find my own food, drink, shelter and protection. I spent a long time recovering anything useful. I recovered the water cleaning system, which, after testing, worked quite well. I made a small house out of straw and some sticky mud. I could use my sword for protection and to kill animals to make food. I could use my compass to find my way back to the shore. And, with all the wood from the boat, I could have plenty of fire, and use trees to make more fire after that. Hopefully I could survive until someone saved me. A sudden thought hit me: If I was in the Bermuda triangle, which many people were scared to cross, would anybody find me?
